How To Make Pav Bhaji Recipe
🧈What You Need:
🌱Vegetables:
- 2 boiled potatoes
- 1/2 cup green peas
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 2 tomatoes (chopped)
- 1 capsicum (green bell pepper), (chopped)
🌶️Spices: - 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 to 2 tsp pav bhaji masala
- Salt (accordingly)
🥬Other: - 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp oil
- 4–6 pav buns
- Water (as required)
- Lemon (cut into 2 halves)
- Coriander leaves (chopped)
- Chopped onion, for topping (optional)
👩🍳How to Make It:
Step 1: Cook Vegetables - If using raw potatoes and peas, boil them until soft.
- Mash them and keep aside.
Step 2: Make Bhaji (Vegetable Curry) - In a pan, add butter + oil.
- Add chopped onion and fry until it becomes soft.
- Add ginger-garlic paste, cook for 1-2 minute.
- Add chopped tomatoes and capsicum. Cook till it becomes soft.
- Add all the spices (red chili, turmeric, pav bhaji masala, salt).
- Add boiled mashed potatoes and peas.
- Mix everything well. Add some water and mash everything with a spoon or masher.
- Cook for 10–15 minutes until it looks like thick gravy. Add butter on top of it.
Step 3: Toast the Pav - Cut pav in half.
- Put butter on a hot pan, toast pav on both sides till golden.
🍽️Serve Like This: - Put bhaji on a plate.
- Add butter, chopped onion, coriander, and a piece of lemon.
- Serve with hot buttered pav.
