How To Make Homemade Pizza
🍕Homemade Pizza Recipe (1 large or 2 medium pizzas)
Ingredients
For the Dough:
• 2¼ tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast
• 1½ cups warm water (not hot, about 110°F or 45°C)
• 3½ cups all-purpose flour
• 2 tbsp olive oil or mustard oil
• 1 tsp sugar
• 1 tsp salt
For the Pizza Sauce:
• 1 tbsp olive oil or mustard oil
• 2 garlic cloves (chopped)
• 1 can (14 oz / 400g) crushed tomatoes
• 1 tsp dried oregano
• 1 tsp chill flask
• ½ tsp dried basil
• Salt and pepper (accordingly)
Toppings (you can choose according to your choose):
• 2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
• Your choice: sliced bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, olives, pepperoni, etc.
• Fresh basil
Instructions
- Make the Dough
• In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 10–15 minutes until foamy.
• In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil or mustard oil.
• Mix and make the dough (10 minutes by hand or 5 minutes in a mixer) until it becomes smooth.
• Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1–1.5 hours, until doubled to its size. - Make the Sauce
• Heat olive oil or mustard oil in a pan over medium heat.
• Add garlic paste and saute it for atleast 25 seconds. Add chopped tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
• Cook on low heat for 15–20 minutes, mixed it occasionally. - Assemble the Pizza
• Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
• Punch down the dough and divide it (if making 2 pizzas).
• Roll out dough on a floured surface into a circle or rectangle.
• Place on a pizza pan or baking sheet. Add sauce, cheese, and toppings. - Bake
Bake for 10–15 minutes, until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly and melted. - Serve
• Let cool slightly, slice, and enjoy!
