đź§„Momo Chutney (Tomato Garlic Sauce)
🌱Ingredients:
• 2 medium tomatoes (roughly chopped)
• 4–5 garlic
• 2–3 dry red chilies (spice level according to you)
• 1 tsp oil
• Salt as per your taste
• 1 tsp vinegar or lemon juice
🔥How to make:

  1. Boil:
    • In a small pan, boil tomatoes, garlic, and red chilies with 1 cup water for 5–7 minutes.
  2. Cool & Blend:
    • Let it cool a bit. Then blend everything into a smooth paste.
  3. Cook the Sauce:
    • Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan. Pour the chutney in. Add salt and a pinch of sugar.
    • Cook on medium flame for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Add Vinegar:
    • Add 1 tsp vinegar or lemon juice. Mix well and turn off the heat.
    ✔️Tips:
    • If you want it less spicy, use fewer red chilies.
    For the dough (outer layer):
    • 2 cups maida (all-purpose flour)
    • A pinch of salt
    • Water (as required)
    How to make:
    • Mix flour and salt in a bowl.
    • Slowly add water and knead to make a soft dough.
    • Cover and let it rest for 25–30 minutes.
    🥬For veg filling:
    • 1 cup chopped cabbage
    • ½ cup chopped carrot
    • ½ cup chopped onion or spring onion
    • 1 tbsp chopped garlic
    • 1 tsp chopped ginger
    • 1 tbsp soy sauce(optional)
    • Salt and pepper
    • 1 tsp oil
    How to make it:
    • Heat oil in a pan. Add garlic, ginger, and onion. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
    • Add cabbage and carrot. Stir for 3–4 minutes.
    • Add soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
    • Let it cool.
    🍖 For chicken filling (if you want non-veg):
    • 1 cup minced (keema) chicken
    • ½ cup chopped onion
    • 1 tbsp garlic
    • 1 tsp ginger
    • 1 tbsp soy sauce(optional)
    • Salt and pepper
    How to make it:
    • Just mix everything in bowl (no need to cook it first).
    • Keep it in the fridge until you fill the momos.
    👩‍🍳How to shape the momos:
    • Roll small balls of dough into thin circles.
    • Put 1 spoon of filling in the middle (or accordingly).
    • Fold and pinch the edges to close the momo.
    • Make all momos like this.
    🥗How to cook:
    To steam:
    • Place momos in a steamer (grease it so they don’t stick on steamer).
    • Steam for 12–15 minutes.
    To fry (optional):
    • After steaming, fry them in a pan with little oil till golden.
    🍽️Serve With:
    • Spicy tomato chutney (momo sauce)
    • Soy sauce or chili oil
