🌱Ingredients (for 2 servings):
Pasta:
• 1 cup pasta
• Water to boil
• 1 tsp salt
• A few drops of oil (to prevent sticking)
White Sauce:
• 2 tbsp butter or regular cooking oil)
• 2 tbsp maida (all-purpose flour)
• 1½ to 2 cups milk (boiled or room temperature is fine)
• Salt (accordingly)
• ½ tsp black pepper powder
• ½ tsp oregano or mixed herbs (optional)
• ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
• Grated cheese (1–2 tbsp, optional it is for extra creaminess)
Optional Veggies (whatever you have at home):
• Onion (chopped)
• Capsicum
• Boiled corn
• Carrot
• Peas
• Garlic (1–2 cloves, finely chopped)
📄Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Boil the Pasta
    • In a pot, boil water with a pinch of salt and a little oil.
    • Add pasta and cook until soft (about 10–12 minutes).
    • Drain and rinse with cold water to stop cooking. Set aside.
  2. Cook the Veggies (Optional)
    • In a pan, add a little butter or oil.
    • Sauté garlic (if using), then add chopped vegetables.
    • Cook for 4–5 minutes until it soft but still colorful.
  3. Make the White Sauce
    • In the same or another pan, melt 2 tbsp butter on low flame.
    • Add 2 tbsp maida, stir constantly for about 1 minute. Don’t let it brown.
    • Slowly add milk in parts, stirring well to avoid lumps.
    • Cook until it thickens and coats the back of a spoon (about 5 minutes).
    • Add salt, pepper, herbs, and cheese (if using).
  4. Combine
    • Add the boiled pasta and saute veggies to the white sauce.
    • Mix gently until well coated and heated.
  5. Serve
    • Serve hot, topped with extra herbs or cheese if you like.
    • Great with toasted bread or garlic toast!
