Tadka Maggi Recipe


📝Ingredients:
• 1 packet Maggi noodles
• 1 cup water
• 1 tbsp oil or butter
• 1 small onion (finely chopped)
• 1 small tomato (finely chopped)
• 1/4 cup capsicum (finely chopped)
• 1-2 green chilies (chopped)
• 1/4 tsp red chili powder
• 1/4 tsp turmeric (optional)
• 1/4 tsp garam masala
• 1/2 tsp pav bhaji masala (optional but adds street-style flavour)
• Salt required
• Maggi tastemaker (from the packet)
• Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
• Optional: Cheese, lemon juice, or chili flakes


🍽️Instructions:

  1. Saute veggies:
    • Heat oil or butter on a tawa (flat pan) or regular pan.
    • Add onions and green chilies. Saute until translucent.
    • Add tomatoes and capsicum. Cook until soft.
  2. Add spices:
    • Add red chili powder, turmeric, garam masala, pav bhaji masala, and a pinch of salt.
    • Mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes until spices are cooked.
  3. Add noodles:
    • Break the Maggi noodles and add to the pan.
    • Pour 1 cup water and add the Maggi tastemaker.
    • Mix well and let it cook uncovered, stirring occasionally.
  4. Takka (charred) style finish:
    • Once cooked, let the Maggi stay on the tawa for 1-2 extra minutes on low flame.
    • Stir only slightly to get those crispy, smoky bits.
  5. Garnish & serve:
    • Garnish with fresh coriander and a dash of lemon juice.
    • Top with grated cheese or chili flakes if desired.
    ✔️Tips:
    • Use a large flat tawa for authentic street-style texture.
    • Add butter for a richer flavour.
    • You can add boiled sweet corn, peas, or paneer for variation.
