Veg Gravy Momos Recipe
🌱Ingredients:
For Momos:
• 1 cup all-purpose flour (maida)
• ½ tsp salt
• Water as required
• 1 tsp oil
Stuffing:
• 1 cup cabbage (finely chopped)
• ½ cup carrot (grated)
• ¼ cup capsicum (finely chopped)
• ¼ cup onion (finely chopped)
• 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
• 1-2 green chilies (finely chopped)
• Salt accordingly
• ½ tsp black pepper
• 1 tsp soy sauce
For Gravy:
• 1 tbsp oil
• 1 tbsp garlic (finely chopped)
• 1 tsp ginger (finely chopped)
• 2 green chilies (slit)
• 1 small onion (finely chopped)
• 1 small capsicum (chopped)
• 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
• 1 tbsp red chili sauce
• 1 tbsp soy sauce
• ½ tbsp vinegar
• 1 tsp corn flour mixed with ¼ cup water (slurry)
• ½ tsp sugar (optional for enhance the flavor)
• Salt to taste
• ½ tsp black pepper
• 1½ cups water (adjust as per your required)
📝Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare Dough
• Mix all-purpose flour and salt in a bowl.
• Add water little by little to form a smooth, firm dough.
• Cover and let it rest for 10–20 minutes.
Step 2: Prepare Stuffing
• Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté.
• Add onions and green chilies. Cook until translucent.
• Add carrots, cabbage, and capsicum. Sauté for 2–3 mins (keep crunch).
• Add salt, pepper, and soy sauce. Mix well.
• Turn off the flame. Let it cool.
Step 3: Shape and Steam Momos
• Divide dough into small balls. Roll into thin circles.
• Place 1 tbsp stuffing in the center. Fold and pleat to seal.
• Steam the momos for 10–12 minutes until translucent and cooked.
Step 4: Make Gravy
• Heat oil in a pan. Add garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Sauté.
• Add chopped onions and capsicum. Cook for 2 mins.
• Add ketchup, chili sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, salt, pepper, and sugar.
• Add water and bring it to a boil.
• Add corn flour slurry and stir continuously until it thickens to a gravy consistency.
Step 5: Assemble
• Add steamed momos to the hot gravy.
• Let it simmer for 1–2 minutes.
• Garnish with spring onion greens.

Best enjoyed hot with extra chili sauce or schezwan chutney.
